Soul Eater: A New Beginning- Chapter 1

In the year 1998, Mark and Valerie Evans were called by Lord Death about a witch in Death City. Mark talked to an 8 year old Soul Evans and said "Soul, your mother and I need to take care of some business, watch your little sister for us." "Sure dad I will," said Soul. "Thank you my son, I love you" said Mark. "I love you too dad," said Soul. Then, he enters my room and says, "Katie, come along and say goodbye to mom and dad." "Are mommy and daddy leaving us?” I asked. "No, they are going on a mission for work," he said. "Ok Souly," I said as I got up and walked with him to mommy and daddy. Valerie and Mark see Soul and I walk up to them. "Sweetie, be good for your brother, mommy and daddy love you both, don't forget that" said Mark. "I won't daddy and I wuv you too mommy and daddy" I said. "So do I, mom and dad," said Soul while smiling with his sharp teeth. "Good, well we have to go now, bye be good you too" says Mark as he and Valerie hug us. Soul and I reply with our goodbyes. Four years later, we figured out our parents have died and we have also lost our home. We ended up living in the woods where Lord Death found us, and recognized me as Mark’s daughter from my facial features.

Lord Death asked if Soul and I had a home. I said, “No, Souly and I don’t,” as I looked at him. “Ah yes, how are you Soul?” asked Lord Death. “I’m good Lord Death, but what are you doing out here?” asked Soul curiously. “I am out on a nice walk,” answered Lord Death. “Sounds fun, Katie and I have to go collect some lunch, It was nice to see you Lord Death,” said Soul as he smiles and signals me to come to him. “Why don’t you come over and have lunch with my son and I?” asked Lord Death. “I don’t know Lord Death, Katie and I don’t want to lose our spot because this is where we sleep at night” said Soul. “I got an idea, why don’t you move in with us?” asked Lord Death. “I don’t know we don’t want to be a bother,” said Soul. “You two won’t be a bother at all,” said Lord Death. “Could we Souly?” I asked with a puppy dog face. “I guess one night couldn’t hurt,” said Soul as he looked up at Lord Death and smiled. “Yay,” I said excitedly as I jump up and down.  “Well come along, I have to make lunch for all of us” said Lord Death as he signaled us to go North. “Ok Lord Death,” said Soul as he and I walked north. We followed Lord Death to his house and I smiled to Soul cutely. Soul held me close and said, “You’re welcome little sis,” I hug him and say “Thank you Souly” as I smiled. After a few minutes, we arrived at a huge building with two big candles lit, and a skeleton with spiked red tubes coming out of it. I looked up at it and asked Lord Death “That’s your house?” “Nope,” he said “that is the school I run called the Death Weapon Meister Academy.”

"That's so cool," I said amazed. "I could enroll you both, but if you are a weapon, you would have to find a meister. However, if you are a meister, you would have to find a weapon partner" said Lord Death. "How do we know which one we are?" asked Soul curiously. "We would have to look at your history and test you Soul" said Lord Death. "Mom was a meister and dad was a weapon, a scythe to be exact" said Soul. "Yes, I do remember that, but do you know what you are Soul?" asked Lord Death curiously. "Yes I do, I'm a scythe like my father," said Soul proudly as his arm turns into a black and red colored blade. "Well, glad we know that, but now you need a meister" said Lord Death. "What's a meister?" I asked.
